IBM Smarter Planet Charity Run 2010

Phew, the title for this run soooooo long. Like the title mentioned, I had joined marathon again, but this time it was just 5km.

Initially, I don't feel like joining this because it required RM35 as registration fees. For a poor intern like me, RM35 for just 5km run is not worthy. But, a friend of my uncle had paid, and decide not to run. Hence it gave me a chance to substitute his place. Nice right..

There lie a reason behind the costly registration fee. The profit collected will be donated to charity.


The best part of this run is, to get IBM t-shirt.


Nice right? haha. Before the marathon start, they even pay two instructor from FITNESS-FIRST to conduct a morning warm up session. Heck, their warm-up was quite over and it kinda drain-out my leg muscles energy.


For this run, they allocate 2 hours for everyone to complete the track.


Since this was a charity run by which participated by family and friends of IBM-er, they allocate a large amount of time for this 5km run. 2 hours to be precise. For professional run out there, I guess 50minute would be the qualifying time.


I took approximately 40 minutes to finish the race. And out of hundreds of participant in Men-open, I get

Well, since this is more like a friend & family hang out time, people there prefer to walk and chit-chatting all the way till the finishing line. I doubt 2 hours would be enough for them. Since I came alone, I run alone too. Trying to complete race with my best timing and head home.

Suppose there would be a closing ceremony after the race. But I am reluctant to wait for hour. So I head home instead. Kepong ! Kepong !

I just love marathon.

First time OT

Today I OT until 7pm because I had received urgent assignment by 4.30pm. I need to call and deliver messages to 30 employees. My senior only provide me with their name and id. I will have to search their contact by myself.

Looking at time, I knew I gonna be late. Hence I suggested Big-Mac and her gang follow other car to go home.

After calling these number of people, my throat felt soar and ascent sound sexy XD. Calling people is not that bad actually. My daily coding work is really bored me out, so I kinda enjoy this.

Today my uncle, provide me sample on how to create a personal spending budget. From now on, I must well manage my money. Under my uncle guide, soon enough I will start my very first step in the world of Stock Investment.

Start young and waste no time.

Quality Death

Often, we speak about Quality Life. How we should live our life to be quality. What we must achieve and pursue to have quality life. Don we ?

Do you heard about Quality Death ? Die with honor like Spartan '300' ? Die at the age of 100 ? Or Die after you have great wealth, beautiful / handsome spouse, and whole bunch of grandson ?

Well, that's not truly about quality death.

If we do not know death, then we must not know life. Just like day and night. If one do not know night, then he will never know day.

In order for us to truly understand the meaning of Quality Life, we must understand Quality Death too. Because both of this is inter-related. If you possess a quality life, then you will have quality death too.

So, are you sure you are having a quality life now ? If you dine the best foods in the world, live in the grandest house in the world, and having the most beautiful women in the world, are you going to have a Quality Death ?

People are afraid of Death. Word 'Death' is a taboo for all of us. We will avoid anything that related to death. Even we reject number '4' in our daily life. We hate it instead. We don't want it on our car plate, we don want it on our house number, and we certainly don want it on our marriage date. People just too afraid to accept death.

But

Is death a NOT NATURAL thing ? Is death do not belong to this world ? Is death avoidable ?

As the matter of fact, Our clock of death is start ticking by the time we born to this wonderful world.


How long it will stop ? no one know. But certainly, everyone clock is ticking..... and soon we will be gone one by one.


Four season is a natural process. It is one with the universe.


Spring will come and go... Summer will follow up and end, continue by Falls and then Winter. And again this cycle for eternity.


A leaf, is destined to fall on ground sooner or later. It is normal and a fact of life. Just like Death. Everyone is destined to die.

In life, we have a lot of testimony. When we finish our primary school, our teacher wrote our testimony. When we finish secondary, our teacher too, will wrote on our testimony. Same applied to university when we graduate.. we will have a lot of testimony which reflect our behavior in school. So, everyone try to study hard and be a good student in order to get a good testimony from the teachers and lecturer.

When we dead, who are going to write about our testimony of death ?

Nobody will write for us, but ourselves. If quality life is just about achieving first class honor, master and PHD, can we wrote all this in testimony of death ? Nope... we can't.

What you going to write then ? How you successfully cheat people in order to success ? How you toying with our people feeling for your own self-fishness ? and greatest of all... the regretness feeling of things you never get to done.

This is how the Quality of Death defined. Death with a peaceful smile and ease in heart... and this will reflect how great you live your life. And this is how to define true quality life.

So, are we ready to die yet ? Certainly not. Cause we have a lot of stuffs yet to done. I am not happy yet and certainly yet to contribute my happiness to this world. How can I die yet ? I yet to show how much I love my parents, how can I die yet ? I yet to put-down my hatred, how can I die yet ?

If we are not ready to die, then we are not having a quality life right now. Death clock doesn't tell anyone. It will stop by anytime. I might die tomorrow or even later. I don't know. So, although we are young, don't think we will surely live till 80s. Don't waste more time, go for your quality life right now.

Appreciate for everything we have. Gracious when we are safely arrived home, because we had survive one more day..

Gracious when we are able to wake up, because we have given a chance to live a new day.

When our life is filled with appreciation, our hatred and sadness will gone. And we will appreciate for everything we own till now.. because we came to this world with nothing and we are going to leave this world with nothing also. Share what you belong to others who are still alive and distribute your happiness too.

-Live life with gratitude, because it create quality life and end with quality death-

Once upon a time, there was a village. A young man just lost his father. As a filial son, he done all the preparation necessary for a proper funeral. He hired masters to perform ritual in order to send his father to heaven. According to traditional believe, one should hit the dead man skull until it crack in order to send him to heaven.

Being a filial son, the young man hit his father's head with all his might. Hoping to send his father soul to heaven. However, no matter how hard he hit, the skull never crack and break. It is as hard as steel. The young man gave up. The masters told him that his father is going to hell.

The young man is so upset. He search for Buddha in jungle.

Young Man : Buddha ! Buddha !

Buddha : Yes, what bring you here ?

Young Man : Buddha, I am very sad. My father is going to hell ! The master who is so famous
and powerful can't do a thing about it. Help me please. Since you are Buddha,
you must be more powerful than them. Please perform a ritual for my father.

Buddha knew that this young man would not listen to his advise now. Nothing can enter his heavy ears.

Buddha : Young man, I will help you. Prepare two clay pot. One filled with stones. And one filled
with oil. Wait me beside the river.

Young Man : O really ? That's great !!! With your power, my father will be going to heaven !

The delighted young man was spring in joy. Without wasting time he prepared the necessary at the side of river, waiting anxiously for Buddha to come.

Buddha came.

Buddha : Ok young man. Let the both clay pots to float on water.

So the young man do exactly what the Buddha told.

Buddha : Now, use a wood to hit both pots until it crack and destroy.

Young Man : OOO, now I see your point ! By cracking the pot just like how I crack my father
dead skull, he can be sent to heaven. Hahaha

So, the young man hit the clay pots until it crack and destroy. He was so happy that both pots were totally smashed to pieces. Hence stones from the first clay pot submerge into water. Oil from the second clay pot float on top of the water.

Buddha : Young man, now you go call all the masters to come over here. And make the stones to
float and the oil to submerge.

Young Man : Impossible ! How can stones floats and oil submerge ??? Common sense la Buddha

The young man challenged the Buddha request.

Buddha : So, you finally realize ? Why you can apply common sense in this but not applying
in your father case ?

The young man speechless.

Buddha : For every bad deed you done, it will weigh your soul... and pulling you downward. And
for every good deed you done, your soul will be light.. floating you upward. If your
father is a good man during his lifetime, his soul will be light enough to float up to
heaven. And if he did bad deed all the while... then nobody can pull him up.

BHP Orange Run !

This is my second marathon run and it will be 11 Km this time. A slightly increment of 1 Km compare to Bukit Jalil Bareno Run.

Thanks to my past experience, I know what to prepare for my run.

The starting point is at THE CURVE.


Arriving there at 7am and cramp ourselves within sea of people. Well, the run is free of entrance fee so it was expected.





For female category, their run started at 7.15am , and 7.25 am for male. So, are you ready ??

I have never tour around Bandar Utama with feet. Of course ! who crazy enough to do that ?
So, this is a great opportunity to do this. As usual, I run steadily with almost exact same speed throughout the race.

While on the run, maybe after 20-30 minutes or so, I saw a guy in red resting ? crying ? or exhausted ? beside the road.


Hope that he will not appear on newspaper headline tomorrow. And further down, I saw a auntie coming out from a Mamak store.

She must had finished her minum teh XD . As usual, this kind of marathon event required police assistance for road-blocking. So, massive traffic-jam was pretty well expected and police being shooting-board from drivers...



My intention was to show the massive traffic jam. Treat the extra entity as bonus. Hahaha


Saw a SHELL petrol station. Wondering when will be its turn to organize one. You know, my wife love to dine its cuisine. 95 made was her favourite and 97 made once a while when I can afford.

Run across One Utama Mall.


And my usual free parking place when I went to work every morning. Call me arrogant ! But I am proud to cut down all the slim-fit runner one by one from the start. I never stop running even being tempted by free drinks at check-point. I just keep on jogging till the finishing line.

*Boo000* to all slim-fit runner! Fat Dude like me can Run too !!!!! Yiargh !!!


To my surprise, this run was so relaxing. Maybe because it had less steep roads, I couldn't believe my eyes that I am just some distance away from the finishing line.


Thanks to the Power Gel which I consumed during my 1H lap time, I got energy left to sprint my way to finishing line. Cutting down a lot of minyak-bocoring people.

When approaching the finishing line, a lot of DSLR camper pointing their camera at the coming runner. I feel syok abit and it gave a scent of being a top runner. Don't know why, I raise my hand and cross the finishing line as I am the champion. After that, I felt like idiot XD

Nice record I have. I managed to finish the race in 1H 15 Minute. Just like my previous run. But I ran extra 1 Km for this, which mean I had ran faster compare to last time. New record for me, Yea Yea !!

Frankly, for free run like this, I only receive a cheap goodies bag which contain a cert, a sport-bottle, and a mineral water. No jogging vest or medal which I am really looking for. Damn
But it is free neway.


At the finishing line. I saw a beautiful woman distributing flier to runner while baby-sitting a children. I assuming she was her mother. However, she is really pretty. But because I only have camera phone, I am so paiseh to take a close up look photo of her.

It look noob and stupid by going near her while holding a camera phone trying to snap a photo of her. This is all I can do.

I must own a DSLR ! Serious ?

Forget about the calories loss. I am bloody hungry. I went to my favorite mamak store at Sri Sinar with my brother to have breakfast.

Everyday, I will read a lot of online news. As usual I will sigh when I came upon political news.

Don't you realize that our government have speed up their spending spree ? Just a mere few weeks, billions have been given out to either pay a project or buy something.

And this.... is an deficit to our country which generate NO FUCKING money to our country.

And I don talk cock and empty..

First case

The project of RM811 MILLION ISTANA.


When we get to know this ... this project already been ON-GOING. And as usual and government favourite way of life, direct negotiation.

And this RM811 million is just the initial cost, and predicted it will balloon to RM1.2 Billion upon completion. News say that if open tender was practice, this can be done with not more than RM400million. Though for my opinion it is still a very large sum of money.

There is a funny story behind this, at 2006, the Work Minister had proposed that this project will cost only rm400million. But after that, it get balloon up to rm811Million !

Because, they say extra safety measure need to be implemented and its design is very unique. But! Guess who is one of the contractor responsible for this project? The very same contractor who is responsible for the collapse of Stadium Gong Badak at Terengganu.

Ironically, this company do not get blacklisted but still could enjoy a piece of this fatty meat which cost rm130 Million. Malaysia Boleh !

Though government is paying so fucking much for this castle, but eventually this castle will be built for a cost less than RM200 Million ! This is my point of view. Let me tell you how is this work.

Every contractor have the right to subcontract their project. Let say contractor A get a rm500 million for this project.. it can subcontract to another contractor called contractor B for rm400Million. So this contractor A do not need to do anything and get to enjoy instant RM100 million profit. and contractor B will do the rest. But it do not stop here mind you! contractor B will do the same to contractor C and the list go on. And finally this castle will only cost RM200 million and our government pay rm811 million for it. Gosh, I love this BolehLand la..

Government is smart! This is a fucking good idea. By building ISTANA, they claim it will prove our loyalty to our dearest Agong. And according to some article / law, we can't talk bad about our king, if not we will be treated as betrayal and could be outcast and get death penalty if serious !

So, we can't say anything bad... and just let it be. Who in the parliament dare to object this project? What they can do, is just try their best to bring down the cost and save our country coffer for future.

Do we really need this project ?

According to Wiki, Singapore have a total of 481,300 troops and Malaysia have 171,700 of troops.

Why in the earth we need more arms than it could be put to use? But again, where is the threat ? Our government love to buy machine ! Any machine will do. From tanks , fighter plane, helicopter to submarine... everything also want to buy in bulk ! But they never care for the fucking maintenance fees !

Do you know that the recently bought submarines have a freaking high maintenance cost? The maintenance fees is cost half of the submarine itself every year ! Well, if the cost of one submarine sound Billion....try to do the math.

Just recently, MP Tianchua had unveil another government shopping spree.
The overpriced toperdo for our submarine.


News said that the submarine could not dive ! And yet our government buy so many missiles with 20% higher cost than other country buy.. And who get this extra commission then?

Actually our country have an act called OSA. OFFICIAL SECTRET ACT. This act is totally opposite from official freedom act. This act protect the secret document and whoever expose it, will get punish by law. And our military's project is protected by OSA. So, government can choose to not reveal the contract awarded to which company and such. Hence this is the best platform for people in power to siphon our money as they wish !

How many planes and tanks have been idle in the storage? are they even usable ? this is a good question though.

Government had promised that they will pay the PKFZ bondholder. RM 711 MILLIONS

In case you have forget what is PKFZ is all about, let me give you a little recall.

It mean, Port Klang Free Zone. It is one of the Malaysia famous scandal that cause our country to loss more than rm2 Billion of ringgit. The responsible company was Kuala Dimensi Baru which manage the PKFZ. The losses is due to direct negotiation of land purchasing and over cost management.

No one had been brought to justice line and government decide to close this case. The people who plundered billions of rakyat money go Scot free and still have the gut and face to stay at M'sia while pretending to protect Malaysian Chinese welfare ! Malaysia Memang Boleh !

But that is long time ago news.. just like Kugan case, Beng Hock case.. it will vanish into thin air eventually. Recently government promised that they will pay the Kuala Dimensi Baru bondholder about rm711 Millions. Where is the money come from?

You, me and other la of course. After government mistakes of mismanagement the issue and let the scandal close off, now they want us to swallow the cost again. Who is the bondholder anyway? As far as I concern, almost 90% of GLC (government link company) shares are owned by their crony.. (which crony ? faham faham la).

So by paying them = enrich them which is already so fucking rich ! This guy are really greedy to the core. When the case was still in investigation, no one brought this case and some even went to hide. After government confirm to close this case, they dare to show up and ask for more ! Never know what is enough ??

Who is the bondholder ? I think everyone want to know.

Government loss another rm500Million for purchasing 38 trains from Singapore.

Again, government done a direct negotiation with one of Singapore company for this purchase. Earlier, the cost of this purchase is just rm1.3 billion. But the company rise it price and it become Rm1.81 billion in total. Yet still, government have no problem with it and signed the contract !

What the fuck ? From last time, when opposition ask government why they insist on direct negotiation and never open it up for tender... the ministry say,

direct negotiation easier mah, and the company we choose, is very very good one. Got fame and credibility... steady like wall haha. Of course la, your friend ma.

My foot ! Almost all the contract end up sub-contract to other and produce low quality goods. So many time already... I still remember cleary that Idris Jala said that we will bankrupt in 9 years.
And government is like.....

Government : (holding 5 sticks of cigarates, 2 stuck at nose, and 3 at mouth) wei, you fella don smoke ah ! more you smoke, faster you die you know. Eh I sked I going to die in 9 year la, you guys can go fork your money and buy me Sarang burung , Lingzi , This la, that la for me can ar ? I also wan to live longer ma hehe? When high ranking official take money, it called commission, when the lower rank official take money, they call it corruption. That why MACC only tackle the small peanut but not the big one. Can the politician clearly define this two word?

Actually, I can see the pattern now. Don't you notice that our government is spending like nobody business? Not that they only do it now, they have practice it since the era of Mahathir. But if you do notice, they are spending the national money so frequent until they do not care to cover their track anymore. Last time, they will squander one big time, and stop, then give lotsa of bullshit to cover their track.. but this time... hmmm.... even a 3 years old child can smell the rat shit.

Like my post's title, the scorched earth. Just like what British did before leaving Malaya after defeated by Japan. They burn everything that could benefit the Japan.

But that is a slight different in this case... British destroy everything and take nothing with them when they leave. Our poeple in power suck everything and take everything with them ... just one thing remain the same . . .
